Cluster Headache Intensity Scale

  1. Slight twinge of the CH type of pain. Shadows.
  2. Normal headache type of intensity. Annoying, but life is still beautiful.
  3. Shadows are getting constant but can deal with it.
  4. Higher level of pain than normal headache. Interferes with normal life.
  5. Starting to get bad, want to be left alone to deal with it.
  6. Need to pace and move and drive your fist into your temple.
  7. Major non-stop pain, left feeling exhausted after it finally leaves.
  8. Immense paid, time to yell, bang head, rock, whatever works. Fear that it won't stop.
  9. The "Why me?" syndrome starts to set in.
  10. Screaming, head banging. Hospital trip. Depressed. Suicidal.

Woke up again severe headache..when is this going to stop? Took meds had a shower which helped. Went on train to study day YIPEE all day in a classroom! Still here at 3pm thinking at least I now have a appt with neurologist on Thursday.

Pain woke me up as usual I'm exhausted as I'm now waking up at least twice a night that I remember..

Great in work it hits not too bad I can cope with it getting some photosensitivity and working a night duty is one of my triggers for my Normal Migranes... Will have an early break and rest up..no meds for me though!

Bad pain the usual stabbing throbbing neck and side of head pain...im working night duty so only took asprin and Advil as I can not be drowsey at work. Drove to work thinking I can do this! I have to make it work as I carnt take all this time off work..who can?

Woke up this am 'not feeling too bad no pain anyway just that groggy type of exaustingness". did some "normal behaviour and did the housework. Then "bang!' sharpe type throbbing pain in my head same as before...i swore i lot and thought is this ever going to end feeling really low now..so I googled CH and found this wedsite..yay may help me?

GP appt - he says "I think this is CH" and you need to take Maxalt, + Asprin + Imigran supositiory go home to dark room and sleep it off if that dosnt work come back to see him.
Which I did exactly that and yes the supository worked to knock me out to sleep.

Time to think urm maybe this isnt going away and I should go to the GP! booked an appt as i was sitting on the lounge rocking back and forth, deep breathing and thinking "i need this to stop now and give me a break from it"... went on all day on/off, bed time no relieve except for putting a hot towel on my right sdie of head?

Day 3 at work OMG I am not coping with this pain, it does ease off every now and then and I think OK has it gone...but no it came back again, took my BP was normal why is the pain in my head pulsing with my HR and why is my right eye hurting?? day off tomorrow lets see..Oh and i would wake up and go to sleep with it no difference.

Again same deal as yesterday another day at work 12hrs and thinking maybe I should go and have a CT brain as i think maybe its a bleed?? although im not photosensitive?

Ok so I woke up with this pain that was pulsating in my head and neck is it a brain bleed?? Off to work thinking driving it will ease off as this is so unusal for me as its the second week after my periods?? the whole 12hours shift I had attacks on and off lasting 20mins to an hour!!

On the way to a afternoon tea I had this pain and thought wow that was bad, didnt have anything with me so suffered it until the evening when I took everything I had in the house and went to bed, but the pain was worse when I lay down and now i had neck stiffness? OMG i felt like is this a Bleed in my brain??

Weird at work migrane type pain of red hot stabbing pain unsual as not hormonal?? went on all day took asprin, Advil and went to bed after work thinking it will be better in the am.

Day 4 headache aftermath the day after..but feeling of relieve its over for another month, usually have two days of feeling of being out of it due to drugs ect.
