Cluster Headache Intensity Scale

  1. Slight twinge of the CH type of pain. Shadows.
  2. Normal headache type of intensity. Annoying, but life is still beautiful.
  3. Shadows are getting constant but can deal with it.
  4. Higher level of pain than normal headache. Interferes with normal life.
  5. Starting to get bad, want to be left alone to deal with it.
  6. Need to pace and move and drive your fist into your temple.
  7. Major non-stop pain, left feeling exhausted after it finally leaves.
  8. Immense paid, time to yell, bang head, rock, whatever works. Fear that it won't stop.
  9. The "Why me?" syndrome starts to set in.
  10. Screaming, head banging. Hospital trip. Depressed. Suicidal.

Used the O2. Wrecked. Shitty night. First night on O2. 4 attacks. The O2 certainly knocks it out but only to return. V taken at 10pm and about 3am. Not happy!

Woke from sleep. Spray knocked it out. V has definitely reduced shadows in the eve. Trying to time 80mg tablet for early eve late eve and very early morning

On Saturday I met new Dr and was prescribed O2 and Verapamil . Started on V . It is reducing the severity

Have regular shadows now in the morning. This one was a fair bit more than a shadow. Had spray which knocked it out pretty quick

That was long and unpleasant. Took wafer from 2016. No good. Wrecked. Had a Guinness at 6.30pm.

Showdows are regular now and increasing into an attack. I used the imagran spray for the first time. It took about 15 minutes to fully abort. Effective. Left eye per normal

Cluster has now begun properly. Behind the left eye as usual. I took the medication left over from last cluster in 2016 maxalt rizatriptan wafer.

I was walking with the dog and the kids when the attack happened I took Sumatriptan when I got home after 25 minutes.

This was the time I used O2 and some other preventer drug

I have had shadows for the last two weeks on the LH side. I had a cold in the last week of Term 2. I just finished school holidays. We moved to Avondale Heights. I have been very tired despite getting lots of sleep.

Left eye. Could be ? Might not be. I remember the last cluster started out mild. Feeling a little better now.
Have been pretty tired after the production and then weekend away at Yeppoon with the band.
