I am an episodic cluster sufferer for 8 years. I get them every 2 years for a few weeks so have had 4 episodes so far. My last was about 8 months ago -
the pain is very severe. Only the right side of my head is affected.
More recently, most of this year I have had a constant pressure on the same side I get the clusters. It doesn’t hurt, I’m just aware it’s there. Sometimes I get stabbing pains in the same spot which don’t last long. I have also experienced pins and needles or tingling either in or on my head same area. A couple of weeks ago, the vision in my left eye went blurry for about half an hour, sometimes I get the floating lights in both eyes but never accompanied with a headache. Am seeing a dr tomorrow, does it sound like migraine? I would like a scan to put my mind at ease. Anyone had similar symptoms?

So after another trip to GP, they 'think' it sounds like I'm having cluster headaches. I have been prescribed sumatriptans (nasal spray) they actually work most of the time! It takes up to 15 mins to kick in, but I'll take that over an extra hour of pain!
Does anyone else use this for pain relief and how often are you allowed to use for cluster headaches? I try to save for really bad ones as the pharmacist thinks it's not good to use so often. I have been using daily for a week now.
i get that oxygen would be the best/safest option but small country towns usually never have what you need 🙂

I live in a small country town and the docs here have said its migraine to stress related but the medication they prescribe doesn't even take the edge off the pain. From what I have read about cluster headaches I think this maybe what I am experiencing?
In need of pain relief!

I am currently experiencing 'headaches' that began a week ago. First couple of days having one headache in the afternoon to now having 3 a day morning, afternoon and night. The length varies from 45 mins to 1.5 hours. The pain is really bad from behind my right eye, sometimes down my face and on top of my head. My eye is bloodshot and teary after an 'attack'. The pain is indescribable, but it can feel like extreme pulsating, or like a current striking my head, only on the right side.
I have had these headaches before the last was 2 years ago, and 2 years before that. Over the counter pain relief doesn't even touch the pain, and doctors have prescribed anti inflammatories that don't work either. Really hoping this ends soon I can't stand the pain 🤕
