Not currently suffering :D
hello there
i am new to this site‚ and just doing some research.
i suffer from all kinds of headaches - migraines‚ tension‚ waking up with headaches.
while i don't think i have cluster headaches in the sense that i do not get watery eyes‚ blocked nostril‚ etc‚ i do always experience sharp pain over one eye.
i have been playing hockey since i was about 10 years old‚ and recently i have been getting really bad headaches after a game.
i recently had a CT scan done and everything came back fine. my doctor has now asked me to take an antihistamine tablet before my game as it could be a release of histamines during exercise that are causing my headaches after i play.
has anyone else heard of this‚ or experiencing the same symptoms???

No sorry excersice seems to be good in the long run for CH. Swelling is somthing else that accompanies CH.
Good to hear from you and maybe one of our other members can assist you but none of your sympomes are familiar to me but there are many symtoms................ also medication for other headaches will never work for CH and visa versa...

That is not entirely correct. Imigran is a migraine medication‚ but is usually very effective against CH.

Kirsty‚ it sounds like what you have are migraines‚ not CH. CH is always accompanied by swollen watery eye‚ and without that I don't think it can be diagnosed as a CH.
