Is someone able to give me some more information on why red bull works or is the drink of choice? Would an energy drink of a different brand work i.e. Mother?

I appreciate your response in advance!

Cheers

I have no idea, but on this blog today i read about someone trying a Red Bull with Mersyndol and My shadow has dropped to about 2-3 from 6. I also read someone else say they drink Mother. good luck. take care.

I am not sure about the energy drinks. Just seems strange to combine with mersyndol which contains a calmative; but if it works and causes no damage go for it.

Hi Heidi,

apperantly it is the combination of taurine and caffine in red bull and other energy drinks
that help.
if you go to the forums list and type taurine in the search box you will find more detailed
info.

Thanks guys,

I will research it a bit more and give it a go - even if it just reduces the pain - have nothing to lose!

Hi Heidi
A word of warning about using caffeine -
It can apparantly contribute to Medication Overuse Headache in people who are susceptible -

The first article focuses on migraine headaches, but the second covers headache in general

Thanks Sara, I'll be very aware and it will definitely not be using it as a first line of defence, just thought it might be suitable for when I'm at work.

It's great that we can share information and experiences and potentially help each other make informed decisions.

Thanks again everyone for your comments.

I use whatever brand is cheapest on special at the supermarket. Red Bull is generally dearer than any of the other brands.
