Not currently suffering :D
Hi fellow cluster sufferers, I am a Dutch woman who will be traveling to Australia in 10 days time. It's my first time to Australia and I am looking forward to it very much, especially as I will be seeing my son who is living and working in Sydney at the moment.
Unfortunately a cluster period started 3 days ago and this will seriously affect my trip, unless I will be able to get oxygen, which I use at home to treat these horrible headaches.
I have tried to arrange oxygen through my health insurance but they have not been able to help, apparently there is not enough time to arrange this for me.
Is there anyone that can help me by providing me with liquid medicinal oxygen which I can take with me on our trip through New South Wales?

Hey Anita, it is abit of a process to get oxygen here and the bottles normally need returning to the same place. Im not sure if you can take the meds? Sumatriptan injections work well, well for me anyway but i understand you want oxygen as do i. I think your best bet is go to a doctor when you get to syd and explain to them you should get something or at the very least, meds. Also most big cities have some sort of headache or cluster clinic maybe try that first.

Hi Anita,

i suggest you contact Kay Tebby directly, she is from a company called Supergas.
her contacts are : mobile 0404 626 455 email kaytebby@supagas.com.au

i live in western australia and contacted her (even though she is based in the eastern states)
and found her to be very helpful in arranging oxygen.

you will need a letter from a doctor before you can access oxygen.

hope this is helpful .

You could also try the emergency department of the nearest public hospital to you. May be a bit inconvenient but alas it would be an option ??This post was edited on 07/03/2018 at 9:21 pm
