I am wondering if in time you need to up your dose because your body no longer responds to the lower dose of Modafinil ( https://www.medexpressrx.com/modafinil.aspx ). I'm also wondering how well it works for someone with chronic fatigue (going on 6 years with this problem-unrefreshing sleep)

I was prescribed Provigil 100mg twice a day. Modafinil was at first a wonder drug - like most people who take it I thought I had finally found the drug that answered all of my problems relating to social anxiety and chronic fatigue - then over the course of several weeks the effect wore off until I no longer felt anything from taking it. It did nothing for my cluster headaches.

I now take Concerta (Ritalin) each day and it's so much better than Modafinil. It even works on my cluster headaches. I've been taking it for about 12 months and with the exception of the first few weeks have had no reason to increase my dosage. If I feel the medication isn't working as well as it used to, I simply stop taking it for a few days and then restart it - that seems to work well for me.
