Bloody hell. What on earth was that? Injection was nearly useless. Got back into bed and had the hot clammy sweats you get just before throwing up - but didn't thankfully. Strony pain (3 -4) waking me up through the morning. Got out of bed around 7:30am. Totally exhausted and nearly in tears. I am really hoping not to have one tonight. Let's see what happens.

Oh please just give me a bloody break! Can't I have one night off?

Wednesday 16 May, 2012: 11:15am - 12:00pm

In bed by 10pm and hoped for a good night's sleep. Who was I kidding.
Up at 11pm for another shot. Slept through the night and woke up pain free. Thank goodness for little mercies.

Holy shit. What is going on? Totally photophobic, thought my jaw was about to break and my eye pop out of its socket. Took ages to be able to prep my needle just because it was so hard to move with the pain. Got it into me and paced for 25 minutes naked outside (one of the advantages of living on 24 acres is that there are no neighbours to complain) - didn't feel the cold at all. Woke for work at 6am. Pain still there but at a 3. So much concentration needed at work. Finally lifted about 4. Work colleague looked at me and said "You're feeling better, your face is its normal colour again". Oh great. Totally exhausted. Hope I can sleep tonight.

Sunday 13 May, 2012: 11:00pm - 12:00pm

5

Have a shot before bed....at least I have some time to sleep it off before work.

Sunday 13 May, 2012: 07:00am - 12:00pm

4

Um. This is not the way I want to wake up.

Saturday 12 May, 2012: 11:30pm - 12:30pm

6

Hmmm. Interesting form of dessert - not! Enough already!

Friday 11 May, 2012: 02:00am - 03:00am

6

Bloody hell. What is going on? I thought that they were slowing down?

Wednesday 09 May, 2012: 11:30pm - 01:00pm

5

Home again at last. Injection and Red Bull and back into a familiar bed.

Sunday 06 May, 2012: 03:00am - 04:00am

6

Kuala Lumpur - and why not! Not a great one to end the trip with.

Wednesday 02 May, 2012: 03:00am - 04:00am

5

Back in Paris just before heading home. Great trip and even had a couple of days pain free.

Friday 27 April, 2012: 02:00am - 03:00am

5

Brympton d'Evercy. Lovely place being renovated but shit of a headache.

Wednesday 25 April, 2012: 03:00am - 04:00am

5

This time in Alty a Bella - South Wales. Hey, the beast wants to see the country side as well. Thank god I haven't had any issues carrying my drugs.

Saturday 21 April, 2012: 02:00am - 12:00pm

5

May only seem a short time in recorded hours but need to remember that this was in france. In actual hours passed since last attach was about 30 hours. Pretty typical. Another injection.

Friday 20 April, 2012: 11:00am - 12:00pm

4

First day of holidays and two hours into a 30 hour flight and the beast just wanted to make sure that I hadn't left it behind. Oh fun.

Thursday 19 April, 2012: 01:00am - 02:00am

6

Oh shit. Just what I need for the last day at work for two weeks. Another jab and 45 minutes before I got back to sleep. At least I can sleep when I need to for the next two weeks.

Tuesday 17 April, 2012: 03:00pm - 06:00pm

5

At work. Finally hit after a day of pretty strong shadows. First experience of preparing a needle in front of workmates. I think they looked more uncomfortable than I felt. They just preferred to look away and stay quiet for me.

Friday 13 April, 2012: 02:00am - 02:30am

5

And another one. Injection. Shadows all throughout the day.

Thursday 12 April, 2012: 02:00am - 03:00am

6

Injection required and an hour before I could get back to sleep.

Wednesday 11 April, 2012: 01:00am - 02:00am

2

And it is still going! No injection yet because I am waiting for it to become unbearable. I am wishing that it hits hard or just go away.

Tuesday 10 April, 2012: 01:30am - 04:00am

5

Yep. And again.
The injection takes the edge off the pain and let's me get back to sleep but definitely not gone. Big pulse at 4am and woke me up. Seem to dissipate after that.
Red bull with my Special K and coffee for breakfast - different but seemed to get through the day reasonably well. Does anyone know how we can get shares in the company that makes Red Bull?

Monday 09 April, 2012: 01:50am - 02:30am

5

Only been in bed for a couple of hours and have to get up to have another injection - at least it lets me get back to sleep. Up at 8am because we have visitors for lunch. John and I clean up the house and I decide to try a Red Bull. Still feel much like an empty shell. John says my eyes are still dead. I still feel much luckier than a lot of other sufferers but doesn't stop me from asking the age old question - how long can this go on for?

Saturday 07 April, 2012: 06:10am - 06:50am

8

What a great way to start a Saturday morning!! Thank god, my man was awake...he was able to get my Dihydergot for me because I was flat out standing. Drawing up the needle was a challenge this morning - either coudln't focus or couldn't move. Finally got it into me and then the next 25 minutes rocking and cursing before I could put my head on the pillow. Unfortunately, no sleep. Feel like nothing more than a shell with nausea and shadows to keep me company.

Thursday 05 April, 2012: 08:00am - 08:00am

1

Had a good night sleep last night but have had shadows all day. Just twitches behind the eye and the occassional punch in the back of my jaw. Only a couple of times that I stopped in mid-sentence. See how things go tonight.

Wednesday 04 April, 2012: 05:00am - 07:00am

5

Injection of Dihydergot - helps reduce the pain to a level that lets me get back to sleep. Not this morning though - not enough time for my drugs work before having to get up for work.
Nausea all day and gave up at 2pm. Exhausted but don't want to go to sleep.
