First realised that the stronger headaches I'd been getting were the return of my cluster headaches. Was doing cattle work and renovation for last few days and had thought that the HAs were related to exertion / dehydration

This one was unmistakable, though

No alcohol
Heaps of exercise

Above period: 5 Attacks over 6 days.

-- Period of remission (94 weeks, 3 days) --

Above period: 5 Attacks over 5 days.

-- Period of remission (12 weeks, 4 days) --

Tuesday 23 December, 2008: 0600 - 0640

2

Strong shadow - enough to keep me awake. No meds

3 day break since last one...

Saturday 20 December, 2008: 0600 - 0645

3

Took 30mg of codeine up for work

Friday 19 December, 2008: 0515 - 0600

3

Enough to wake me up, but didn't escalate. Handled with 30mg codeine and Tiger's balm to temple

CH appear to be coming less frequently and less intensively. Not sure if its because of eradication of triggers or just a short bout (2+ weeks so far)

Here's hoping, huh?

Thursday 18 December, 2008: 1545 - 1915

3

Low grade afternoon headache. Managed with 30mg of codeine

Thursday 18 December, 2008: 0545 - 0645

6

Not aborted with Sumatriptan inhaler. First miss with the inhaler

Have eradicated alcohol (from experience) and chocolate (on spec) from diet for last four days

Getting fewer and less painful CHs

Wednesday 17 December, 2008: 2345 - 0005

5

Aborted with inhaler

As it started to recede, put Tiger's balm on temple and went back to bed. Tiger's balm gives a nice burn

Wednesday 17 December, 2008: 0255 - 0320

5

Aborted with Sumatriptan inhaler

Tuesday 16 December, 2008: 0545 - 0655

7

Woke me up but was so zonked I stayed in bed and hit my temple

Eventually got up and had two soluble codeine, went running

Tuesday 16 December, 2008: 0355 - 0420

7

Took new you-beaut Sumatriptan inhaler. After 15mins didn't think it had worked, got changed into my running gear - as I laced up my last shoe CH dissolved

Back to bed

Monday 15 December, 2008: 2355 - 0145

7

Immediate onset. Strong shadow woke me up, by the time I had walked to kitchen was full-blown (only a small house too!!)

Used new script of FDT. No relief after 20 minutes, went hill sprinting followed by walk. Came home took soluble codeine

Monday 15 December, 2008: 1700 - 2000

6

Long shadow (again) tried to control with codeine. Morphed into full blown at about 1800

More codeine

Monday 15 December, 2008: 1030 - 1400

3

Really long shadow - felt stuffed.

Took more codeine, went to bed

Monday 15 December, 2008: 0445 - 0620

8

Woke in pain. No help from Sumatriptan, wandered the streets in my jim-jams saying "abort, abort, abort"

Came back and had 3 soluble codeine, went walking again. Emailed work to say wouldn't be in

Sunday 14 December, 2008: 1600 - 2030

7

Long shadow of about 2 hours before it ramped up to about a '7'. Finally relented and took my last FDT Sumatriptan - relief in about 10 mins
